Questions

Should I host a party?

Yes! You don’t have to be crafty by nature to enjoy a design party. The parties are great for those who want to entertain without all the work, as we bring the party to you! Hostesses only have to handle some very manageable details to ensure they and their guests have a great time.

What does the hostess supply for the party?

Hostesses only need to provide 2 things for the party: a space and some friends! We suggest that food and drink be provided, but you can handle that anyway you like from appetizers, potluck-style or a catered meal. However relaxed or elaborate you want your party to be is entirely up to you!

What kind of space is needed?

The space depends on the amount of guests you have coming. For a group of 10, space for two tables for your guest will suffice. We will bring one card table for the supplies. If you have 20 guests or less we can provide an extra rectangluar table for them. Typically a medium-large space (think a living room or a basement) is enough for all your guests.

Who will guide the jewelry design?

An artisan will arrive 30-45 minutes prior to your party to set up the supply table and guide the design party. The artisan will be there for 3 hours total, which is enough time to complete any jewelry. The wonderful part about hosting in your home is friends can stay as long (or as little) after the party since its in the comforts of one’s home. The artisan will bring all the materials and supplies needed to complete the jewelry.

Can children participate in the design party?

We don’t suggest children participate as we have Kid Krafts parties available!

How do I pay for the party?

In order to book a party, the hostess must pay a small deposit to hold the date and time. The balance is due at the beginning of the party.

I don't want to host a party, how can I join in on the fun?

We are currently working on hosting design parties at various locations in the Metro Detroit area, check out the events page to find out more!
